Adding a tint to your envelope ensures the privacy and security of its contents. Tints can also add a distinctive flair to your envelope’s design. Whether you use a standard Western States pattern on the inside or outside, tints are a great way to spruce up an ordinary looking envelope at a minimal cost.

STANDARD TINT PATTERNS
Western States has many different standard tint patterns to choose from. Among these patterns are: traditional random patterns, Specialty Tints, Credit Union Tints and Full Service Bank patterns.

We have all art, film and plates for our standard tint patterns in stock, so they are immediately available to you with no additional preparation costs. See the illustrations below for a sample of what our standard tints look like.

Our most popular standard tint patterns are:

WESCO®
Our most popular tint, the WESCO pattern has a high opacity that provides complete protection against viewing an envelope’s contents. We have WESCO envelopes in stock in a wide range of sizes from #6 1/4 through #10, in both regular and window styles.

FDIC #1
Designed for member banks, this tint provides a message of security that a depositor’s savings are insured. We have FDIC #1 tint envelopes in stock in #6 1/4 and #10 sizes, in both regular and window styles.

Crosshatch
We also have a stock crosshatch tint. Product #3140 The area inside of the window outline is printed at a full 100%, which lets you see the tint as it is seen through the actual envelope window. Please note that the intensity of the tint pattern depends on the ink color, and grade and weight of envelope paper.

CUSTOM TINT PATTERNS
With our custom patterns, your tint possibilities are unlimited. An ideal example of a custom tint would be to feature a pattern of your company logo or trademark. You can also run a pattern of custom color blocks or repeat a key message on your tints that will build awareness and attention in envelopes that house your materials.

At Western States, we typically create a 12 x 18” art board with your “step and repeat” pattern so that it may be used in any commercial size envelope. We also offer flexographic and lithographic printing of custom patterns for maximum tint quality.

SPOT-LITE WINDOWS
Want to get attention by featuring a key message or image on your envelopes? Then spot-lite windows are a perfect addition. The spot-lite consists of a message on the inside of the envelope, printed so that it shows through the window when the envelope is empty. As with custom patterns, we can print spot-lites with flexographic and lithographic processes for maximum tint quality.
