WESTERN STATES ENVELOPE & LABEL ANNOUNCES A BEST OF CATEGORY AWARD FOR THE NEW GLOBE 100 PRODUCTS PROMOTION

MILWAUKEE, WI ... Western States Envelope & Label announces a Best of Category - Badger Award for outstanding achievement in Environmentally Sound Materials in the 6th Annual Graphics Excellence Awards. This is a statewide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, the state's trade association for printing and the Graphic Arts.

Competing against 820 entries from printing and graphic arts from the state, Western States received a Best of Category Award for the entry of the New Globe 100 product sales kits displaying the new line of premium quality, 100% post-consumer recycled paper products. Western States’ winning submission was for the showcased products folder emphasizing the theme of preserving nature for future generations. The new Globe 100 line is featured with more than 130 new products in the current Western States February 15, 2006 Price Book.

"We are so proud of our winning team," said Steve Brocker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "It's an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning materials." Niall Power, PIW's President and CEO, agrees. "This year marks the sixth anniversary of the competition. We had our highest number of entries in the history of the competition and again had a very high standard of excellence. Wisconsin is home to some of the best printers in the world and the GEA winners exemplify this! Congratulations to Western States Envelope & Label and their employees commitment to producing the best in print." The GEA recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Wisconsin. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.

PIW is the state's graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 43,800 employees and $6.8 billion in annual sales.
